Exciting updates: Worship Burn, Testimonies, and What's next!

Updated: Apr 9, 2025

Hello everyone! It's been a while. Thank you for taking the time reading my updates! I appreciate it so much!! <3

Our recent Worship Burn at Cebu House of Prayer was such a powerful and refreshing time. Throughout the day, individuals and worship teams from different churches joined in various time slots, each bringing their own unique expression of worship. It was amazing to see hearts united in lifting up Jesus, filling the room with His presence.

During the Worship Burn, I was also selling coffee as part of my fundraising. It meant so much to see people supporting me by buying coffee, and I felt truly blessed by their kindness. Most of the time, I was the only one at the prayer room during my shift, 12:00 noon - 4:00 in the afternoon, but in those moments, I saw the Lord’s grace and strength sustaining me.

We were also blessed to host a DTS outreach team from YWAM Selah, Heart of David, who not only joined us in Worship Burn but also shared incredible testimonies from their outreach. One of the most powerful stories was about a woman who had cataracts! After they prayed for her, the Lord completely healed her! Hearing how God is moving so powerfully was a fresh reminder that He is still working miracles today.

My Role

Aside from being full-time in the prayer room, I am also managing our social media accounts. Recently, I’ve also started learning how to develop our website, which has been a new and exciting challenge.

I’ve also been reflecting on my role in handling social media (creating content and other media related) for the ministry. A year ago, I’ve wondered why I was placed here, especially since I don’t feel particularly skilled at it. But recently, the Lord gave me a fresh perspective—it’s about mobilization. It’s about helping carry the vision, inviting people to partner, encouraging and calling more to stand in the gap. Social media is a tool to reach hearts and build His kingdom, and I’m learning to embrace it with excellence and purpose.

I’m also so encouraged by how far our social media reach has grown. Because of it, we’ve connected with people from different Houses of Prayer, both locally and internationally. Some have even visited and joined us in our worship and prayer sets, while others have reached out to support us, whether by donating financially or offering their time and effort to help with renovations. Seeing how God is using this platform to gather and strengthen the body of Christ has been such a blessing!

Another significant step for me has been joining as a singer during our afternoon Harp & Bowl sets. Something I’ve been doing for over a month now. It was a real leap of faith and boldness to sing in front of others. I remember kuya Shawn telling me how he had heard me singing before. Back then, I was so out of tune hahaha but now, he sees my growth and how much I’ve poured my time into this. Hearing that from a leader really encouraged me to keep growing, developing, and striving for excellence—not just for the sake of improvement but because the Lord is worthy.

I cannot provide photos since no one has taken photos of us during the sets haha. I'll make sure to have one or two next time!

Pentateuch Small Group Study

Our Pentateuch small group study has been a deep and enriching journey so far. We’ve gone through Genesis and Exodus,, exploring God’s covenant, His faithfulness, and how He leads His people. Each week has brought fresh insights, meaningful discussions, and a deeper appreciation for how these books point us to Jesus. It’s been amazing to see how the Scriptures come alive, pointing us to Jesus and His redemptive plan.

What’s Next?

  1. I have applied for the Asia Leaders Learning Community (ALLC) 11th Strategic Leaders Course Online (11 April - 13 June. 2025) This is a bold step out of my comfort zone, but I believe the Lord is calling me to grow in leadership. Through this course, I hope to clarify my vision, learn how to implement it effectively, and gain new perspectives and skills that will equip me to lead myself and others toward God’s vision.

  2. On May 27 - 31, 2025, I’ll be heading to Baguio for the YWAM National Conference. It's an exciting time to gather, be refreshed, and connect with fellow missionaries from across the country. It will be my very first YWAM Conference!!

  3. We’re also stepping into something new and exciting. We're starting our very first YWAM DTS here at Cebu House of Prayer (August 4, 2025 - January 23, 2026)! This school will be focused on worship and prayer, and we’re trusting the Lord to bring the right students and staff to be part of this journey.

Prayer Requests

  1. YWAM National Conference in Baguio (May 2025) – Please pray for provision as I need to raise 15,000 pesos to cover my airfare, bus transportation, and my remaining YWAM NatCon fee of 7,000 pesos. Pray that this time will be filled with encouragement, vision, and fresh encounters with the Lord.

  2. First YWAM DTS at Cebu House of Prayer – Pray for the right students and staff, for wisdom in preparing, and for God’s presence to lead every step of the way.

  3. Personal Fundraising – Pray for continued provision, divine appointments, and that God would open doors for financial support.

  4. Strength and Grace – That I would rely on the Lord’s strength in this busy season and find rest in Him.

  5. Pray for watchmen to rise—faithful intercessors who will stand in the gap and commit to a lifestyle of worship and prayer here in Cebu House of Prayer.

Thank you for standing with me in prayer and partnership. It truly means so much!
